I have a degree in Integrative relational therapy from Middlesex University. Integrative therapy draws on different techniques from different types of therapy in order to tailor my approach to each client. This includes psychodynamic, person centered and CBT.
I continue to attend regular CPD to ensure that my practice is up to date.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I aim to offer a safe, comfortable and non judgmental space. I know that it can be difficult coming to therapy for the first time and I feel that it is important to create a trusting relationship in order for you to feel safe to be vulnerable and share any difficulties with me.
Each session will last for 50 minutes. Counselling is often weekly but this can be tailored to your needs. The duration of therapy is also personal to each client, and can be short or long term.
When we are working together I ensure that there are regular review sessions to discuss how the work is going and get feedback from you to ensure that we are working towards your goals and to make an adjustments to the work which suit you best.
I offer both counselling and psychotherapy. Counselling is typically short-term work (6-10 sessions), which may be for the problems or difficult situations you are currently dealing with and often has a specific goal. Psychotherapy is usually longer-term work, we will explore your past life experiences in order to gain self-awareness which can help you understand the root of your difficulties including anxiety and depression and enable long lasting change and growth.
Issues I work with include:
Anxiety
Depression
Anger
Bereavement
Suicidal thoughts
Self-harm
Stress
Low self-confidence
Panic attacks
